Bank of Zhangjiakou was officially established on March 8, 2003, after the application for institution name modification has been approved on November 10, 2015, by the Hebei office of China Banking Regulatory Commission, changing the bank’s name from “Zhangjiakou Commercial Bank” to the current “Bank of Zhangjiakou”. As of the end of July 2017, Bank of Zhangjiakou has opened 10 branches, 149 traditional sub-branches, 95 community sub-branches as well as small and micro sub-branches, and 1 credit center for small enterprises, all of which are distributed in Zhangjiakou, Shijiazhuang, Tangshan, Langfang, Handan, Cangzhou, Chengde, Baoding, Xingtai, Qinhuangdao, and Hengshui. In addition, the bank hasalso established 10 village and town banks in batches. It has RMB 174.5 billion worth of total assets, deposit balance of RMB 127.2 billion, and loan balance of RMB 64.2 billion. In terms of the core regulatory indicators, such as the capital adequacy ratio, provision coverage ratio, and non-performing loan ratio, the bank has also well-exceeded the regulatory requirements. It won the title of the “National Civilized Unit” in 2015. In addition, it was awarded the “Best City Commercial Bank of the Year in China” jointly issued by the Financial News and the Institute of Finance of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. For seven consecutive years, it has been ranked among the top 1000 global banks, during which it ranked 569th in 2017. Besides, it has been successively rated as a Tier-2 Bank by the China Banking Regulatory Commission.
